For Earth Day, I was with Mr. Anderson and Mr. Hisel’s group. We had many ideas, but we came to the conclusion of going to the Griffith Observatory and working on projects to show recycling was very easy to accomplish. We were all scheduled to meet at the observatory at 8:30am. I came late, At about 10am. I was surprised to see my family homeroom was still there. When I arrived, Mr. Hisel told me that the observatory opened at 12, it was only 10 and we had no other plans for the day. We all decided to go hiking until the oppening of the observatory. Role Models

So you turn on the TV and all you see are people with perfect hair, perfect smiles, perfect everything. Some of their behaviors, however, are not perfect. Some of those perfect people might have a drinking problem, or they might cheat on their significant other a lot. Are these the people we look up to? It’s very normal for people to want someone to look up to and admire. Even little kids do it; they even go as far as to dress up like the people they like. For example, those little Hanna Montana wigs they have at Target and every other store that sells toys. Little girls actually buy those wigs...

The Day Of Silence

Posted by webmaster On May - 10 - 2010
Bigotry is a tumor in the stomach of today’s society, people go through their everyday lives making stinging comments on people who are different. I stood protest for one group in particular during this years day of silence, which is one day a year to sand up for the LGBT community. The day of silence is one day where people stay silent for the remainder of that day, it is a reminder for all those who remain quiet towards the abuse and persecution of the LGBT community. This is a productive and non-violent way to  get people to realize the ignorance in the world. I was not alone in my protest...

If you’re going to be driving alone be careful, some of the most dangerous drivers come out late at night, and most of the time these drivers are drunk. Prom has the highest collision...
